\"There are about 166,000 charities in the UK, there are a smaller number of very big charities, and lots of smaller ones. Around half of all charities have an income of less than \u00a310,000 a year. Over 80% of all charities have an income of less than \u00a3100,000.\"<\/em><\/p>

There are so many different types and sizes of charities out there all doing amazing and valuable work. When I started +KOKOLO I decided to focus on sustainablity and trying to help some of the many smaller sized charities associated with children, for whom even a small donation could make a big difference.<\/p>

As I am Japanese it was easy to start off by seeking out small not-for-profit organizations in Japan. My first partnership was with the wonderful people at Enpitsu Project who are working to support under-privileged children in South East Asia by providing them with stationary to help their education. I will introduce more about Enpitsu Project's work in my next blog.<\/p>

I live in the UK and our T-shirts are produced by Teemill, based on the Isle of Wight. Therefore I am now looking for small UK registered charitable organizations who would like to collaborate with +KOKOLO by selling their T-shirts through my on-line shop. <\/p>

There is no cost or commitment on your side and you will receive all of the profits from any T-shirts sold. Besides the additional income stream its also a great way for you to increase the brand awareness of your cause.<\/p>

Our products and packaging are made from natural materials, not plastics.\u00a0Fairtrade organic cotton is used with care being taken to ensure no use of child labour in the supply chain. Every product is also designed to be sent back to Teemill when it is worn out for recycling. Customers who do this receive a voucher towards their next purchase, meaning that products can be returned and remade again and again; a circular and sustainable business model that is gentle on the environment.<\/p>
